About

With many of today’s children favoring computer games and watching television, levels of childhood obesity and inactivity are rapidly increasing. This course will help you to inspire children to enjoy fitness and physical activity by learning to plan and deliver safe, fun and motivational exercise programmes.

The course can be completed on a full-time basis over 2 days or choose our unique blended learning option. This totally flexible education experience allows you to tailor learning around your schedule, combining home study, online learning and practical workshops over a bespoke period of time.

On successful completion you will be eligible for Level 2 status on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s) and achieve 20 REP’s CPD points.
 

Content

  • Gain an understanding of anatomy and physiology, highlighting the physiological changes that occur during a child’s development.
  • Learn how to prepare and deliver tailored physical activity sessions for children.

    I have been a fitness enthusiast since the very first day I joined a gym at the age of 16, competing internationally in CrossFit and in Powerlifting. I am the current Powerlifting British Champion in my weight class, training regularly in power gyms with a keen interest in functional fitness.

    Leaving the military after serving 10 years in the Royal Navy, which included multiple operational tours to Afghanistan and qualifying as a physical training instructor, I wished to continue on the path of physical training.
