About

Improving the quality of life for medically referred clients with low-risk conditions is highly rewarding. The course will give you an excellent insight into various disease states and their impact on exercise, allowing you to prescribe safe and effective fitness solutions.

The course can be completed on a full-time basis over 5 days or choose our unique blended learning option. This totally flexible education experience allows you to tailor learning around your schedule, combining home study, online learning and practical workshops over a bespoke period of time.

On successful completion you will be eligible for Level 3 status on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s) and achieve 20 REP’s CPD points.

NOTE! Students require a Level 2 qualification to attend this course. Our Fitness Instructor qualification may be a better option if you’re not Level 2 certified.
 

Content

  • Learn about a range of conditions, including coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
  • Understand the role of physical activity in the maintenance of health and well being, for clients with a range of common clinical conditions.
  • Learn the important screening and assessment process for these clients.
  • Gain an appreciation of a range of medications and their implications for exercise.

    I have been a fitness enthusiast since the very first day I joined a gym at the age of 16, competing internationally in CrossFit and in Powerlifting. I am the current Powerlifting British Champion in my weight class, training regularly in power gyms with a keen interest in functional fitness.
